Although it is clear that unisex is coming a big trend, it is questionable if clothing will ever become completely acceptable to be worn by men and women. At the moment unisex clothing defines the fact that brands are producing clothing in the style of the opposite genders ie. dresses for men. However the controversy over this trend is that will fashion one day no longer be divided into Men and Women but instead one big thing.

For many years the debate about whether men and women are seen as equal, has been a massive controversy across the world.
Perhaps this fashion trend is a modern twist on this debate?
My suggestion is that the person that thought of this fashion trend had this in mind. If both genders are wearing the same clothing, then surely they are recognised as equal.
BABY CLOTHING..
The only clothing that has managed to be completely unisex, is new born baby clothing. Consisting of lots of neutral colours and simple designs it sort of reflects this future trend for adults fashion.
