VOLVO INTRODUCE THE AUTONOMOUS CAR
With the amount of crazy technology being developed in recent years, its no surprise that a self-driving car is being introduced. Many car manufacturers are attempting to develop this idea, but Volvo are set to approach it in a different way. They are testing 100 of the auto-mated cars on public roads in Sweden in 2017, which realistically isn't very long away. Of course drivers must be able to take over the car if anything did happen, but they are planning for this to not have to occur.
I personally don't think I could ever trust one of these cars to be completely safe, as I struggle to understand how they could possibly keep up with normal traffic and how we would drive the car ourselves. Laws will be set on whether it will be legal to not even pay attention to the road whilst behind the wheel of an auto pilot car. I definitely would always still pay attention to the road as the thought of not having control of the car is quite scary!
