A model that had a huge impact on society was a girl called Chantelle Young that goes by the name of Winnie Harlow, that has a rare skin condition called Vitiligo. Ever since then she has changed the perception of beautiful and broadened our views away from the typical look a model used to have.
Now people are taking inspiration from this and introducing themselves as what people of today recognise as beautiful. The idea is that "beauty is an opinion not law" therefore, it is amazing to start recognising what you see as beautiful not what society sees as beautiful. The campaign by Generation Z are aiming to get everyone loving their self and start challenging ideals of beauty, body shape and gender binaries.
This campaign proves how different 2015 is to past tense, there has always been such a specific look of beautiful and it can only get tiring and boring, which is why our generation has introduced a whole new challenging but inspiring look on the whole thing.
"For me beauty was always more of a feeling, a state of being." @melaniegaydos
"Beauty is about exploring and embracing yourself and everything that makes you unique, physically and mentally. Also it's about finding that in everyone else. I find beauty in everyone and that is such a liberating and satisfying thing. The media generally feeds narrow ideas of beauty, but once you open your mind to the beauty in everyone and everything, it's magical <3" @stefania_model
"What I've seen is raw beauty happens when an individual is aware of who they are, who they aspire to be and their potential to be just that. Someone with that sense of self-awareness can't help but radiate beautifully." @itsarifitz
"Beauty is being authentic and fearless and fluid. It's adventurous and creative, never sterile, and always evolving. #beyoubetrue'' @elliottsailors
